Hi Joan :D

I don't know much about patches just what I've read on here really

I know some people do sucessfully cut them and have no problems at all

There is sure to be someone on later who will know more than me about it though

Love

Hi Joan

Do think it will be ok to cut them in half but if you have less than a box I would just wait till there finished. Be ready when you drop strenths you may feel a little wobbly for the first 72 hours then your back to yourself. Maybe you will have no probs. Hows your hubby on the mend I hope make sure your looking after yourself too.xxxxxx

Hi Joan

My last quit I used patches and did cut them in half with no problem at all. The nicotine is impregnated into the patch, so half a patch is half a dose. Nice! Linda is right though - be careful!

Go girl! :D

i had this little dilemma, got to 4 weeks, felt pretty ok and had patches left with me , i considered cutting them in half, but then even though i felt fine n all that, i decided that to stand the greatest chance of success using the patches i would just go the distance that they say to use them for before going down a step.

This is my 6th and final week now, and if week 5 was anything to go by, week 6 will be just as easy, if not easier.. and this weekend coming up next, i go to step 2 patches..

on the grand scale of things, the 2 weeks extra is nothing.. but if you really feel you can and will have no problems on the next step down then try cutting them in half for sure, but don't risk your quit in the process.

as mentioned above you will get 2-3 days of adjustment to the new level of patch and you may feel as 'flakey' as the first few weeks u were quitting, but once through that again, you're back on track.

Not what you're looking for?
