Today is day one for me. I have patches from the several other times I have tried to quit so I'm going to use those up for a start.
I have a busy day planned, so hoping that will take my mind off it! Only problem is that in the afternoons I work in a pub and I tend to smoke most of my cigarettes there.
Also worried about putting on weight as I have been doing WW for the last few months and have done really well. Oh well I'm sure it will all get better soon! x
Anyone else starting today?

Well done on your day one in many ways the most important day of all without it there would not be the days/ weeks and months to follow
As for working in the pub make sure you have a glass of water to hand all the time it may sound daft but it really does help with the craves

Hello Pinkbunny....just thought I would let you know that I do WW as well.....I only have 2 kilos to go to goal!! I thought that giving up while I was still keeping an eye on my weight would be a good idea It seems to be working ...I have a little collection of sugar free gum and lollies and munch on them in between meals....I'm also having smaller meals but having 4 instead of 3.....and dont forget your water;)Good luck....If I can do it you can:DCheers Kez.
all i can say is i well done for making the right decision, get through today and you wont look back . The other guys in here are brilliant support and are always there for you, explaining each sympton and getting you through cravings and just generally being nice people sharing the same path
Welcome and well done Pinkbunny. Day one is very special without it there is no quit, so give yourself a big pat on the back for making the best decision ever. A suggestion is to read about the addiction to nicotine it helps to understand what is going on, you will find the web sites in our signatures at the bottom.
Had a good day yesterday, stuck to my WW points and didn't smoke! I did have a few wobblely moments but stuck to my sugar free gum and some lolly pops! I didn't feel great last night and went to bed early after taking a sleeping tablet, I know from past attempts that I find it hard to sleep when quitting. I slept all night and feel positive that I will make it another day! Will go to the gym tonight to take my mine off it and to help with the weight loss!
