Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

noooooooo, i am on day 18 also, i feel like sh*t, keep on saying to OH just go out and get us some B&H.
what i am trying to do is what i did at the start, i choose not to smoke for 1/2 hour or 1 hour and keep going like that.
how crap would u feel if u gave in now, remember why u stopped? maybe do something nice for yourself? or just go to bed and feel better in the morning?
i would also say read, read, read and post, post, post, we are here and we will do all we can to help.

i'm suddenly finding it really tough the last couple of days as well. wonder if there is something in the air.
or whether its monday and tuesday blues after a good weekend!

You are not alone on this 3rd week, its a rocky time, and you simply have to get through it as tough as it seems, no matter what this addiction's withdrawal tactics are throwing at you.
You have to believe this is just a small part you must endure, your addiction is trying to convince you that there is a great need. If it has to make you feel low to get what it wants, it is doing precisely that.
You have to show this thing that its not going to win. Not this time, and not ever. You have to break this pattern now, you cannot keep going back to this false security that smoking fooled you into believing.
Be stong and tough, and don't let this break you.
You'll see things get better soon enough. It will get easier.

Sorry your having a bad day, i just keep remembering why i stopped , burned tongue , mouth ulcers , coughing wheezing , i even had a small lump cut out on the underside of my tongue came out the hospital with roll up hanging from mouth, a cig was never out my hand , im 17 days in 1/2 hr which is a miracle ,even i did'nt think i would last this long , with the like's of Margret , Jase and the rest of you in this forum im hanging on in there, OH says im crabbit too Bev :confused: i think she must be talking about another person :rolleyes: anyway 20min to go till im 17 but whose counting anyway

Week 3 can be so lousy you guys.... hang in there.... easier times are not too far away..... most of us went through this awful time and we would not have stuck with it had it not gotten much easier! Stay strong, remind yourself of why you want to quit, read, and help others..... there is everything to be gained from staying on this path and nothing from going back! 'And38' stick with it, I know it seems like life is never going to be the same again, but things will improve and be better than ever before, so please keep going, a day at a time! XOXOX
