Grats Chris!!!!!! Well in !!! Big milestone there so be proud!!!!!!!! Now all them idiots who mutter 'bet u can't go a week' can shut the hell up and eat their words. Your in week 2 now, and from my experience last week its easier to deal with than the initial week.

Well done, and i expect you to be here soon bev, i know you will!!!!

A week and a day is a great milestone! It means you have faced all you need to without the need for a ciggie.

Now you now you can face the world without that crutch - go out and enjoy your new health wealth and control!!!!

Thank you guys!!! You can do it Bev, you're nearly there!!!

Day 9 - and a tricky day today. I've started cutting my 14mg patches in half and boy did my brain feel the jolt!!! It feels like day 3 again!! I'm thinking it might be worthwhile just cutting them out altogether tomorrow.... if I'm gonna have to do another few days of withdrawal I might as well be clean at the end of it right??

Grrrrrrrrr, snappy and snarly today - not good.

Chris.. honestly m8y, the jolt is just you adjusting. yeah sure its something saying, hey hang on, i need my normal fix.. but eventually just like a child thats told 'no more sweeties', it will have to do with none. This is normal, you'll have a few or more days yet of adjustment and the odd pang of need, but you'll get through it. You've done well so far, and this bit now is just the next part of the cycle, it will bed itself down again.

You are in control now, your subconcious has too much voice right now, get it beaten down with reason and you'll be fine :)

Yeah that makes sense Jase, cheers. I'm just thinking about getting rid of the patches altogether rather than weaning off them - I'm thinking now that if I carry on with them I'm going to drag the withdrawal out over another month each time I cut them down rather than a short sharp shock. But then I'm going out at the weekend and the patches might keep me sane....

Oh I dunno. Should I just rip the plaster off quickly and be done once and for all?
