nsd_user663_deleted profile image

Hi,I am trying again after failing more times than I care to remember.

This time I mean to succeed.

I have not had a cig for five days now, & not feeling to bad at the moment.

I am useing patches at the moment to make it easier for the time being.

Well done everyone that have made it, I want to be one of you

Joan

Hi Joan :)

Well done on day 5 hang in there you haven't failed until you stop trying and just carry on smoking

Below is my standard welcome and advice post for new members I know you've been here before but it may still be helpful for you

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Love

Read read read

It really helped in the first few days and even now - when ever things become difficult it's back to reading again.

You can do it, it just has to be important and you have to want it - want it more than ever smoking again.

Have a note in my purse, with my reasons have a post it above the kettle "never take another puff" - all my friends laugh, it can stay there - turning more and more yellow with age until I don't need it anymore - have a post it with never take another puff in my purse too and on the fridge and the pc at work.

Never take another puff is my thought, yours may be something else, read and read you'll find yours too.
