Yeahhh just the thought of putting hot smoke down my throat fills me with horror. I used to do that, some folk can really cut down when they get ill but I think I used to smoke more
I was the same for some reason, if I got a cold etc I would almost chain smoke god knows why and would even get up in the night and smoke yet Mark would hardly smoke if he was ill.
Anyhoo hope you feel better soon

Marg xxxxxxxx
me too ... achoo!
Hi HarleyQuine
I'm suffering too ... sore thorat, aches, sneezes. I don't think it's flu cos I've not got a fever, just feel generally run down.
But today marks 6 weeks completed with not smoking for me. So I'm happy about that
Hi everyone,
Today is a better day. A few days ago I watched Joel's video in which he talks about colds and how the first cold a person who has quit smoking gets can be quite nasty cos the nerve endings have regenerated. He says it will also lead to clensing so all the crap will leave my lungs so we should be happy about the cold.. yeah right.. yesterday I thought I was dying, haven't had a cold this bad since I was a kid. Am glad it's almost over now though Hope you feel better JenJam and thanks everyone for the positive thoughts.
Something else to look forward too joy joy !
Hope you're better soon.
I have been quit for 1 Month, 2 Weeks, 5 Days, 15 hours, 30 minutes and 14 seconds (49 days). I have saved £215.95 by not smoking 992 cigarettes. I have saved 3 Days, 10 hours and 40 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 31/05/2009 20:00
Hey Harleyquine
Not feeling that much better ... not got the "ultra tired feel like I've been run over by a bus" feeling of yesterday but still rough.
Thank you so much for posting that video. i watched and it makes sense that I'm having a really bad cold this time. i didn't realise getting better could be a trigger too, just as well i've got a 75 mile charity bike ride on Sunday I'm desparate to get better for ... that alone will mean I won't go back to smoking. I need my beloved cycling! I miss it and if i smoke I can't cycle very well .... and if I had continued to smoke one day I might never be able to cycle again. Oh I know one day I will be too old to do so, but i'd rather make that day later than sooner
Anyway .. .I'm rambling. Glad you're on the mend, I'm sure I will be soon.
