Just a quick post to day this is my 7th day , im using 16mg patches and I find them excellent.

Ive registered with my local NHS drop in centre and find this really useful.

Still getting urges now and again but I tend to do a bit of cleaning or something ( my home has never been so clean lol)

Also I have seen a big improvement to my skin and also my energy levels - although I was tired for the first 5 days

I cant say its easy but im getting there just taking one day at a time, friends who smoke are quite mindful when im around which helps greatly

I crack open my 2nd box of patches tomorrow so lets hope it all goes smoothly for the 2nd week !!!!

Well done Lulee,

7 Days is great & before you know it you will be at the end of week 2 & need more patches :D

I see my nurse every two weeks to monitor how I am doing & get more patches & lozenges. It's SO cool to walk in & say I haven't had a SINGLE ONE :D

Keep it up, your doing great.

Love Gaynor xx

Hi Lulee :)

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

Well done you on day 7 of your quit that's great

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Love

It's really great you have those kinds of services over there. If I still lived in the UK I'd take advantage of them. Don't have anything like that over here and get this... I went into the chemist here today to get my patches and when the woman was looking in the drawers under the shelf to see if they had any there I spotted three packs of marlboro 2 red and one gold.. in the drawer in the chemist!?! what's up with that eh?

Congrats on your first week over and done with :) It can be pretty rough but you've already layed the groundwork for your quit so week two should be the same old stuff ;)
