I stopped smoking last at middinight, I know its only been just a little over 14 hours since i stopped, but i have a good feeling about this time. Something clicked last night I dont know what it was but there was no planning involved just had my last ciggy and promised to myself to quit.
I'm decided to quit cold turkey, I know the success rate is not high in quiting this way, but im going to give it my best shot.
Im trying to keep myself busy and not think about smoking, as by know i would have lit up around 10 cigs already.
Any suggestions to what else I can do??
Cheers for your support

I think I may have posted something like this before for you but cant'quite recall but never mind
Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good
You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad
Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be
You say you have a good feeling this time and that something clicked for you last night, that's good it means the battle is starting really well this time
Apart from keeping busy if a crave hits try drinking water [yes it really will help daft as it sounds] go for a walk anything at all just don't light up OK
Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK
although the first few days will be hard it is possible to give them up going Cold turkey just keep reminding your self of that. there is a lot of support on this forum when you need it.
i quit using champix currently on day 26 one thing i found quite good was i wrote a list of all the reasons why i wanted to give up and when i felt a little weak i took the list out and re read it. then each time i was making a decision to not give in rather than just let myself give in.
