Hi, I have been quit for 1 day, 4 hours and 30 minutes.

This is my second quit attempt, I quit for 18 months and was so disappointed with myself when I caved.

I am determined to do it this this time

Have been reading through the posts and hope with your support this can be the time I quit for good.

Well done all of you, we're getting there!

Thanks for listening.

Welcom

Welcome lj2009,

Well done on your quit so far & making the decision to turn your health around.

Everyone here is real friendly & supportive & some will send you links to some great sites.

I once stopped for just over 2 years & stupidly started again. Am almost at 6 weeks now & this forum has helped so much.

Good luck.

Love Gaynor xx

Thanks guys.

I'm using the CT method (same as I used last time) not feeling too bad at the mo, just worried about weight gain (I know that's far better for you than smoking, but 2 stone was just too much).

Healthy snacks here I come!!

Hi lj2009,

Weight gain you can deal with as & when. I decided that I was not gonna deprive myself with anything that helped me get through this (within reason of course).

I just try to make sure that what I eat extra is low fat. Apart from Topics, yum LOL.

Anyway, I feel huge but every 2 weeks I go to see the 'quit' nurse & ask to be weighed. No change as yet which I was surprised at, had to ask if the scales worked :p
