well had trouble getting to sleep last night.woke up this morning (avoided coffee) went to work and the time flew by, energy was amazing and the stamina amazing too.

thing is with me i find the first week really easy then find the crazings getting harder in week 2, really strange.

i am avoiding alcohol as this has been my weakness previously.

i am not going to touch the stuff for at least a month this time.

i am also going to avoid excessive excercise, as last time i quit i went silly and burnt myself out after a week.(i was excercising excessively)

Hi Jamie,

Well done on Day 3.

I don't think it's so strange that the cravings sometimes seem tougher in the second week. Maybe the enthusiasm of stopping is stronger at the start, you notice the benefits, and then in the second week the determination may drop off a little and the nico:eek:demons know it's a good time to strike!

Stay strong and you will overcome it. I think it is a good idea to stay clear of the alcohol until you have been quit for some time. Especially as you already know that alcohol can contribute to a failed quit.

god i cant believe how smoking has made me so anti-social! ive just realised that this shit has caused me to miss a chunk of life out! i really really regret ever starting smoking, everyones different but it has turned me into a hermit!
