Hi Rosie :)

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

Well done on three days quit you're doing just fine hang in there

All the things you're feeling are perfectly normal at the start of a quit and will pass soon as Ozzy has said Promise

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Best Wishes

Aaaaawww Rosie - I know exactly how you feel. Those first few days can be really tough. I know I wouldn't want to do them again - that's something that has stopped by starting smoking again - I don't want to have to go through those first few days!

You have to be patient with yourself - I don't know how many years you have been smoking but you can't expect your body and brain to suddenly break a habit of many years without it being a bit tough.

But you can get through this - you have to for the sake of your grandsons. Give it time and your brain will re-educate itself . As for the toilet issue - I was better after about 10 days:D

Stick with it - read lots and post on here often:D

Hi Rosie,

It is so so normal for the first few days but as you will hear often it will get better. These physical symptoms don't magically disappear after the 72 hours but most are gone by then.

Hi Rosie, congratulations on 3 days as a non smoker! that is fantastic! The first few days are the worst, but you are almost half way through your first week and these feelings will begin to subside, feeling down is very common and it takes time to adjust to your new life but you will get there and it wont just be a new life it will also be much better and healthier!,

keep going and take care, x

Hi Rosie and welcome.

Well done on your decision to stop - as the others have said the first few days are the worst but it does get better honestly, I'm on day 27 and still have sweats and not sleepin well but things are getting better, took me days and days to go to the loo, though I was going to explode

so hang in there it all gets easier :D xx
