I mentioned to a colleague yesterday that it would be a year in 5 weeks time, she quit 8 years ago and asked me "you can honestly say you haven't had the odd one here and there?" to which I replied not even a drag from someone else's!

I don't smoke because on balance I no longer want to, as I can see it for what it is which is just feeding an addiction. I want to be a non smoker not an occasional smoker.

I know a chap who smokes other peoples when drinking and if I asked him if he's a smoker then he would say, "no... I just have one now and again while I'm out" however if someone said to him that they were a vegetarian but actually when they go out occasionally they eat chicken he would of course say "well you're not a vegetarian then" in my book you are either a smoker or a non smoker there is no in between.
