Thanks everyone,

Only popping by fleetingly at the moment as I'm running round chasing my tail. Anyway, got my grading out of the way yesterday and it was harsh I wasn't happy with my performance but I'm certain that if I'd still been a smoker I wouldn't have been able to complete it!

Assuming I did enough to pass yesterday, the next challenge is Black Belt in 6 months and I'm going to have to be super fit for that one. Ideally I need to drop at least a stone to improve my power to weight ratio thus not end up wasting energy moving excess body weight about. I gained about a stone while quitting and have already lost 5 lbs of that so I'm looking at dropping a reasonable margin below my pre-quit weight. I'm going to get out on the bike more over the warmer months, maybe do some running, but make sure that I do something every day. I also need to take the naughty stuff out of my diet and keep to more sensible portions.

I find it quit extraordinary that even after 10 months I get the occasional urge to smoke (usually when things go tits up!) and while I don't find it hard to resist, its still annoying! If I didn't have it quite so firmly embedded in my mind that I am not depriving myself of some special pleasure I would surly have failed by now.

Congrats on both scores, buddy.... doesn't seem possible, I remember one post where I was celebrating 8 weeks and you 16 at roughly the same time....

Crazy how fast the time has gone.
