I feel so much better for coming on this forum. It has made me more determined to carry on and not give in to the cravings ;) it's nice to know that you are not on your own. It will be 9 weeks tomorrow that I stopped smoking, I have beaten my previous record by 2 weeks :D I have done it cold turkey this time and the last time too. I have good days & bad days, and still finding it hard at times my. Family and friends are supportive. My daughter is always telling me she is proud of me which helps me to carry on. I wish you all well on your journey and hope you succeed good luck all x

Hi Dolly :D

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

WOW 9 weeks quit that's wonderful well done and I hope you're as proud of you as your daughter is

Best Wishes

Hi Marg, Thank you for the welcome I have done a lot of reading and you are right it does help. I have been on one of those websites already which is very informative and helpfull. I read the Alan Carr easyway to stop smoking which helped too and I still use it now and again. I've now started to do a lot of walking which I need to do to loose the few pounds that I have gained lol. Congratulations on your 159 days that is so  well done
