15 days today for me - so wanted to put myself in week 3!

Wondered if anyone knows if I should get a cough? Been waiting for it but just a bit chesty now & then but no whacking great cough - quite disappointed as want to get the crap out my lungs. I have noticed I can breathe really well through my nose when I lie in bed at night now, before I had to breathe through my mouth or I'd feel like I was suffocating!

Anyhoo - keep it up. I'm must say I'm quite enjoying giving up this time which I've never felt before!

Hi, almost at 6 weeks and no cough either. Have posted about this and it seems that it doesn't effect everyone, so fingers crossed, you could be one of the lucky ones.

Good luck.

Hi WL it's 15 days for me too well done:D

I haven't got the cough either and I felt like you that I wanted all the black gunk out but it seems that some of us don't actually go through that.

I stopped using NRT and my face is full of fecking spots:mad: I wouldn't mind but I don't actually have the face of a teen:rolleyes:.

I have to say this forum helped my quit, it would have been so much harder without it. It opened my eyes to the NRT, showed me that I don't need it to quit.

I want a go too! Day 16 for me! I did have the cough and to be fair I wouldn't want to wish it on anyone! Turned eventually into a chest infection and now has cleared up with anitbiotics. I used to have to sleep without my arms close together, I felt I was suffocating. Now that has all gone. I can breath deeply for the first time! Well done all of us. xxxx

Congratulations on getting into the 3rd week thats FAB!

Some people get the cough some don't. Personally I did have a cough but didn't have dark/black phlegm.

Enjoying the quit is a good sign, I think you are winning!

Cheers

Thanks for all the replies everyone!

Well done all you other 3 weekers! Over half way through the first month, it's gone really quick for me, hope for you too.

I gave up the NRT early last time & relapsed, so going to stick with it like it says this time, although this time my mind sets totally different I'm still going to stick with it in case.

Hope to see you all in week 4!

Completely spaced on it until I read this thread :) No cough for me either....... but 2 nice red spots and a funny looking tongue.... kinda gross to say but it is the color of nicotine  maybe all the candy I have been sucking on (I HOPE).... any chance it's nicotine?
