Hi Everyone, just thought I'd say hello after starting my current quit attempt.

I'm up to day seven of cold turkey and so far things are going fairly well with the exception of the sleep thing. I'm having real real problems staying asleep at the moment and wondered if anyone can give an idea how how long it might last based on their experience?

Cheers

I don't know how long it lasts but I did get sleeping pills non addictive from my doctor. I also saw some over the counter sleep aids. Yesterday I was awakening every hour. Last night I slepped beautifully.

That's the sort of thing I'm trying to get hold of but finding it hard here in Spain, going to try and track down some Nytol equivalent here if I can. I've ordered some from back home but they will take a couple of weeks to arrive..

Good to see you again Nic, glad to see you are still giving us repeat offenders support :)

Hi Mikeduk

I had real trouble sleeping for about the first week of quitting. I just didn't feel tired. Then I'd feel really knackered in the afternoon and need to sleep. When I did get to sleep I had the most bizarre dreams...and I mean bizarre! I have never had any problems sleeping before in my life so it came as a bit of a shock. I started to get a sleep pattern back after about 10days - 2 weeks.

I'm sure you will soon start to get back into a sleeping pattern - stick with it!
