Almost 7 days now.

In an hours time it will be 7 days since my last cigarette - it seems a lot longer since I smoked, hmm strange

I must admit stopping smoking for me appears to be easier than I expected it to be: I'd thought about packing in smoking for some time but never had the courage to go through with it, till now and my feelings towards it have somewhat confused me - why are things never how you expect them to be

So far so good :)

Hi Must-Stop,

7 Days - 1 Week....great stuff

Yeah, you're finding out great truths...it isn't as difficult as initially it seemed. You'll already know that after 3 days the nicotine has left your system and so all you're going against is....you. The silly little habit and psychology going around in our brains is the real hard stuff. But, don't worry, even that's not hard to conquer. Just keep adding the days to the weeks to the months to the years. It gets easier each time we go through a crave without succumbing.

Keep posting, reading and marking the milestones :)

Its funny isnt it? the thought of stopping smoking is worse than actually stopping smoking!!! the mind is a powerfull thing!

So true - and also the THOUGHT of facing some situations without a ciggie is far worse than actually facing them!
