finally, a calendar month.. i suppose it doesn't really require a "finally" at the moment, but there were definately some parts of this month that lasted way longer than others..

thanks for the words and i suppose congradulations to all of you for what you have accomplished as well-- however far into it you've made it you're doing it and that's great.

butyeah-- definately pre-game warmup to a time when you'd usually smoke is the worst! I've got a good buddy who's getting me through the cravings properly too. he doesn't treat me like a child, doesn't tell me i can't have one. makes me feel like i'm allowed too, that's its my choice but to remember why I quit in the first place. almost makes me feel guilty,, LOL

I guess it really comes down to that it's up to me to make the choice.

congratulations

Well done on getting to your first month. I am on day eight. This has definately been the longest week of my life. The only thing that has keep me going is the thought that I would have to go through this again if I smoked. Are you eating alot? I am eating far too much. Any tips on how to stop munching?

sorry for delay, i dont check here as often, because i want to think about not smoking LESS!!! :D:D

Anyways, congrats on your accomplishment. as far as eating goes, it's all about discipline. Eating can be as bad for you as smoking if you're doing it wrong.

When I go to the grocery store I do the same thing I do when I don't want to smoke: Don't buy the crap!

Buy snacky fruits like mandarin oranges or grapes or even peanuts and just carry things along with you. The one difference between this and smoking is you CAN treat yourself every now and then with a box of cookies or something. Just dont keep them around! Buy foods you have to cook. You'll be less inclined to snack on raw chicken
