Hi Linbeauty

Huge well done on deciding to quit, you must be so proud.

The end of the 2nd week tends to be a bit tricky for a few people on here hun, but it does get better really soon.

Read as much as you can and post often.

Oh and welcome to the forums :)

Denise

Hi Linbeauty

Welcome to the forum - you'll find it's a great place for advice and support.

That lost and empty feeling I think is the hardest thing to cope with - harder than some of the physical symptoms.

The only thing I can say is that it does get better - much better. I am on Day 31 and I can't believe how much easier it is now than it was. That said, last week I did struggle a bit with panicky thoughts. I am so glad I held out because today I feel great!

Stay strong and those empty feelings will get better as your body gets used to coping without the need for a ciggie.

Stick with it linbeauty - you're not the only one and considering other people have had this problem (me included) and are still smoke-free years later it proves it is something that we can beat... and that WILL go away...

Every time I feel 'empty' I get up and do something - cleaned all my windows the other night, just to keep my hands busy. Best thing about this is that with the extra activity I've lost a couple of pounds in the two weeks since quitting, rather than putting it on as I feared...

Hi lin!!

hey well done you!! the craves will become less intense and less often-stick with it, just think- if you start again, you will eventually want to stop again!!! and have to go through the whole process again xx
