Help ! Had a realy bad day today.

When I got home form the gym tonight I just couldn't help myself.............

I thought the house was a sugar free zone - but my husband has found half a Christmas cake in some foil & in a tupperware at the back of a cupboard.

I've had a slice.

What? You didn't think it was a smoke did you? :D:D:D

I wonder how many hits this gets!

Couldn't help it!

Sorry - couldn't help it - but I need food naughtly steps now.

If you said to me I could either have a piece of cake or a fag just now there is no contest - the food would win.

I've been back at the gym every night this week & also really cut down on the portions of food & no snacks or treats.

So far I've lost 2.5kg of 15kg I've targeted to loose in 3 weeks. I can hardly walk today I've done that much in the gym - I've run a total of 15k over 5 nights.......Realy, Realy want to fit my clothes again :(

I'm a new member and thought I'd have a look at how you guys at 4 months are getting on and OMG I nearly freaked seeing that post LOL! Cake!!! just eat it and enjoy. Sounds like you have a great thing going on with your bloke.

F2Q, don't be so strict to yourself. 15kg in 3 weeks is to much, you will lose so much muscle... It is recomended to stay between 0,5 and 1,5 kg a week. The first week one often takes of more. 2,5 kg is a great achevment!!! But don't overdo it...

Just to clarify : I have a target of loosing 15kg but do not expect to loose it in three weeks :eek:

I have been trying for three weeks with restricted food & back at the gym and have lost 2.5kg in that time :cool:

I give myself a giggle every now and then and look back at the desperate postings I had in the early days!! I would agree it's been quite a story :eek:

To all the newbies - see I'm sane now but was nowhere near that in the begining. It does all fall into place after a while without you realy noticing. I think it's been said before but you need to stop looking for the finish line and someone handing you a bit of paper that says "succesful non-smoker".

I now just need to give up the sugar :p

Oooh-you had me going there F2Q!

Not a fan of Christmas cake myself-prefer savoury to sweet-got a bit of a thing for pork pies at the moment-v v unhealthy I know!

Must follow your example and get to the gym-all my clothes are starting to feel a bit tight and I daren't get on the scales! Joined a Mum's netball team at my son's school as a prelude to getting fit and plan on digging my bike out of the garage once the weather warms up and the mud around here starts to dry out!

Don't be too hard on yourself sweetie-look how far you've come in such a short time-I know it's important to you to lose weight but stopping the fags is still a major achievement and you should cut yourself some slack (and Christmas cake) now and then!
