Hi Guys

Just want to update you, I decided to stop the NRT Gum today and it is a bit tough to be honest i didn't expect it to be that hard, Ikeep on thinking about having just one cigarette,

I thought it was over but it certainly not, so i can say that the gum was simillar to smoking and i should have gone cold turkey from day one.

I have been quit for 3 Weeks, 5 Days, 19 hours, 2 minutes and 15 seconds (26 days). I have saved £155.73 by not smoking 669 cigarettes. I have saved 2 Days, 7 hours and 45 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 25/07/2008 02:09

Well done on not having just that 1 cig.

Also giving up the gum means in 3 days you will not have any nicotine in your system.

Where as if you keep on having NRP of any sort keeps the body used to nicotine

ben

get yer butt over to whyquit for some great info on stopping nicotine.

i am sure you will find some articles on there to help you get over the first couple of days and which will also improve your understanding of what Nicotine withdrawal is like.
