I've not signed in here for a while, but a note on my wall calendar just reminded me that today marks my five months. According to my quit-meter which I've just run for the first time in quite a while:
I smoked my last cigarette 4 Months, 4 Weeks, 2 Days, 23 hours and 27 minutes ago. I have £1,256.19 that I haven't spent on 5,354 cigarettes and saved 2 Weeks, 4 Days, 14 hours and 10 minutes of my life
so technically I'm still about half an hour short of my five months but I need to go out and didn't want to wait (should ahything happen in the next half hour and I light up, I'm going to be SO hacked off!)
I put a note on my wall calendar on the 12th of every month until September, fully expecting the notes to be a reminder of my failure probably to make it past one month, but here I am realistically looking forward to six months smoke-free and it feels great.
Chin up all of you who feel it's a long hard climb, it can be done! And I've even lost the excess weight I put on during the first month smoke-free, an d a whole lot more!
