:confused:Not a lover then.... I think they are lovely cars :D

I was nearly driven off the road by one this morning as he avoided a very large puddle. You have to question the motives for anyone purchasing a large 4x4 and then avoiding puddles.

Surely attacking them with gusto is the normal course of action..?

I think I would be to ashamed to say or work out how many I smoked. HEHE xxxx

I worked it out to around 273750.

i may be a couple out which I forgot about :D:D:D

That is taking into account the times I stopped, and I did not smoke as much earlier on.

109500  Costing approximately £25k,

£25k, I could have my Picasso Grand C4 VTR 16v (Ok not everyones dream car but I have 2 small kids and its great fun to drive when they are not in it, plus it would be £80k for my dream car)

Just way to scary to even consider!

average 20 per day for 22 years 6 months and 2 days...

erm... 22.5 x 365.25 will do is roughly 8218 days.

So, thats 164360 *gulp* at a cost of £41,090 at £5 a pack. *gulp, again*

Good news is, I still have time left in my life (hopefully) to "save" more than that...

OK If I count up all my failed quits , now let me think I tend to over estimate how long they lasted.....

Subtract that figure from the total amount of time I smoked

Then if I recall how many I smoked per day, but I tend to under estimate those ....

Right

The answer is 42 :D

or Maybe about 100,000 - 120,000

I'd rather not think about it. Too scarey.

Approx 80,000 . Not as much as some and for years i smoked less than ten a day, quit for a year and smoked again. Was smoking 30 a day when i stopped last time :eek:

Thing is, women have a habit of dying young on my Dads side of the family so with fag in hand i wouldn't have gotten further than 45 years old. Not that I hanker after a smoke so much these days but i should bear that in mind if i'm ever fancying 'one'.

And what did i do it all for? The kudos i got at school was overshadowed by the years of chest infections, smokers coughs, leper-dom in pubs and clubs and all those things i wished away so i could 'get outside for a smoke'.

Oy!

Over 22 years the cost of smoking has gone up substantially. Mine was £32k but I took £7k off for inflation, I remember buying 20 B&H for less that £3.00. So yours would be less that £41k and you will be able to save more than that.

Indeed, but even using todays prices as a guide - I will "recover" all the money I spent on fags by the time I am 56... hopefully (thanks to giving up) I shall be fit enough to enjoy it!

As prices used to be lower, and will be higher - I will "recover" it a lot quicker... but my brain is soooo not THAT good with numbers!

All this is "what if" though, because thankfully I don't have a £41k debt due to smoking... and don't have to pay it back, I shall just enjoy having extra money :D
