Hi Iain - Well done on getting to 99 days and welcome to the forum. I am only 8 behind you and feel great although have been getting pangs for cigs lately. Don't want them just getting pangs. I have got this far however and do not intend to go backwards just onwards and upwards:D:):D

I find that I get them when having the first few drinks of the evening.
So long as you hurry down the first 2 pints you just forget all about it

I've found that too when I've been out to the pub. Trouble is I'm not always standing at the end of the night. Hehe
Hi iainmay,
How did you quit, was it old turkey or did you use champix/NRT? Also, if you don't mind me asking, there have been a few join here recently who are a way on into their quit. Is this the first internet resource you have used or did you visit other sites/forums early in your quit. What makes you want to join a place like this now? Do you feel you are at a stage where you need extra support or is there a different reason?
Hope you don't mind the questions, just been wondering for a while when I see people join and you seem a perfect person to ask
Congratulations on coming so far, however you did it!!
Well I normally used quitnet to keep track of my non-smoking stats. I never really used the forums there though as its a US site. Ive done a little posting on the boots change one thing site, but its not really an active forum, more of a series of blogs with comments...
I quit with nrt patches, which ive been off for about 4-5 weeks now I think
I kinda stumbled across the site when looking for some health benefit info and noticed you had a forum...I dont really have a specific reason for joining in the forums except that Ive made it to 6 months once before and failed so I know im still in the danger zone (even though im giddy with my success atm)
