well its my second day today and i havent been too bad actualy. was wobbling a bit this morning as my usual routine is cup of tea and a fag before i do anything !! plus i was back at work today as id just had 9 days off so was dreading it ! I had an extra 20 mins in bed ( less time to think about fags) when i got up i changed my routine totally so instead of making a cuppa i put my face on ,then i ironed my clothes ,got dressed etc etc .then i sat down with a cup of tea and actually had breakfast.. something i NEVER have ( cant face food for at least 2 hours usually ) i then cleaned my teeth and was off to work.I had a fair bit to do to catch up after 9 days so that kept me busy til lunchtime..and all was ok till about 2.30 ! boy was i craving but i kicked it up the bum and had a chewing gum instead .. well proud of myself . lets just hope tmrw isnt too bad I WILL QUIT FOR GOOD THIS TIME.

It's 3 weeks for me now - and I know what you mean ith morning routine - for me it was coffee and a ciggy - now I swapped the ciggy for the computer - still can't eat anything immediately after I get up - but never could not even as a kid - long before I started smoking
Hang in there and when you have a craving and are arrounda computer - come into the forum that keeps mind and fingers busy

hi katrina i think you did the right thing trying to change your routine i did a similar thing the hardest thing is getting out of the routine cigs like after eating or whilst driving well done

well done newies, I was a heavy coffee drinker, I cut down using decaffe and saved a ordinary coffee for lunch time as a pick me up, cutting down coffee does help for water, water, water got me thought the early days.

I had done the same thing in the beginning of my quit. The morning was the worst time for me, so I set my alarm ahead too! It helped alot. My dog was a little confused because he would have all this extra time in the morning...but he soon got over it!
