Nearly tempted

Not found it too bad when out drinking (which amazed me) but then again our 2 other friends don't smoke. But last night my niece and her partner came out with us, they are social smokers (yep, I know, but they don't smoke any other time).

Well, after a few drinks they decided to buy a packet of cigs from the machine (£6 for 16 cigs):eek::eek: Her partner then asked if I was coming outside for a smoke, my OH looked worried as did my sister and friend. He said "you know you want one" and I replied "I might want one but I'm not going to have one".

When they came back their breath stank, yuckkkkkkkkk to think I've been smelling like that for donkey's years. Apparently my niece only had a couple of puffs and said it was horrible, I think I shamed her into coming back inside by resisting.

I have been worried as my best friend and her husband both smoke but they've not been out since I quit. But now I know I'm okay with people in my company going out for a cig. Ohhhhhhhhh and we went out of the pub the smell from them all smoking was horrid.

Hope everyone else is doing ok, not seen much of the team around. Oh and glad to see you back Maddy.

About the smell, it's weird

I went to go out the front door yesterday and got the whiff of cigs, looked left and right couldn't see anyone. Walked to the gate and a man was walking past one of my neighbours several doors down with a fag in his hand. I would never of noticed that before.

Also I've been helping out doing a bit of cover delivering parcels and as soon as a front door opens I can tell who smokes. I did this for years and never noticed before. I can just smell it a mile away now, very strange.

And, I was coming out of Asda and have to go round a corner to the car park. I could smell cigs as soon as I came out the door and sure enough a man was smoking when I got round the corner.

I know the feeling, i seem to smell smoke everywhere. At first I thought my mind was tricking me into wanting a smoke, but since discovered I have an amazing sense of smell and can smell things I haven't smelt for years. Freshly cut grass for example. I could always smell it but not like I smelt it the other day.

I also get pongs off people who get on the bus, not the ones who have just smoked, but the honk off their jackets that have been smoked in for ages. Gross!

I washed my jackets when I stopped, no more of that for me, thanks
