Day 5 for me was yesteday, was fine all day until 4pm when i went my girlfriends parents for an easter sunday dinner.

3 smokers there, smoking a lot as we were drinking a lot.

I told them not to let me smoke or offer me any.

It was a bit of a weird feeling, i wanted to smoke but when i smelt their second hand smoke i didn;t like it, when i wathced them feed their addiction i saw cigarettes for what they were, an evil little drug.

they had to smoke outside or in the kitchen because my GF's aunt didn;t like smoke, i watched them go outside in the freezing cold to feed that habit, i went outside to feel the temperature - it was freezing! I was glad i didn;t smoke. We talked abou it a lot and i found it quite easy to resist, i felt almost relieved i had got so far through my quit and the pangs now are more psychologial trhan physical.

I drank for england, 4 bottles of champagne, a few beers and lots of wine. Didn't smoke though. I think i am now at a stage where i will not smoke, i see no benefir from smoking anymore and can only see drawbacks. I'm glad the adddiction doesn't have such a hold on me anymore, i think about cigarettes less.

i can see the finish line in sight, won;t be long until i am completely free i am sure. thanks to this site though i know i must constantly stay on my guards and stick to my commitment never to take another puff again.
