It's Day 6

Day 6 and I can't believe I have not had a ciggerette in nearly 6 days! One more day to go after today and I'm off on a shopping spree with the money I've saved.

Very positive about today.

Slight Blip

Had a slight blip on Saturday and smoked a rollie however as I'd had a patch on I did'nt get the head rush and it tasted really odd. Back on the wagon now and feeling OK.

Congratulations to everyone especially those going cold turkey!!

Well done! Just put it down as a blip and get on with it. Be careful though, I did this last time I gave up and eventually I put nearly every one down as a blip! Pretty soon I was back to 5 or 6 blips a day!!

I've smoked with patches on too in the past. I ended up whipping it off dramatically in the pub and prounouncing I was once a again a smoker. Not big and not clever. Not that you could do that now what with the pubs being smoke free.

Thats how i started smoking again each time.

It would start with a few pulls ,then a fag at the end of the night.

Started taking patch off in the evenings to smoke.

Then i wouldn`t put a patch on till later on in the morning.

The rest is history.

Hi Barb. I'm on Nicorette patches as prescribed by my doctor. They've been in the cupboard for ages waiting for the 'right time'... ha ha. That time never seems to arrive so have decided to give it a go anyway.

I'm in Exeter and it's cloudy here which suits my Monday morning mood!
