Well here at day 4, and not good, im just so tired and really feel out of it!! craving quite badly aswell, suppose to be going out for a meal tonight but dont think i can with lack of sleep etc im about as much company as a brick wall

Awww I know how you feel manolo and I'm not just saying that. I don't feel too bad today but yesterday and the day before that (day 3 and 4 of my quit) were just the pits. Really. I really thought I was going to give in to the cravings but I didn't, and if I didn't, then I know you are capable of riding out the horrible nasty cravings too. A few times I got up from whatever I was doing to go to the shop and buy some cigs but do you know what stopped me? Is the immense disappointment I would have felt in myself if I had've given in to my crave and had a smoke.

So, please, try really hard to not have a smoke. I know its hard

4 was a tough one for me too, stay strong, it'll soon be day five If its a super tough one, celebrate toninght with a movie or something lol... you can do it, with ya all the way.

Not really craving to much today (touch wood this will last through out the day), its just been tied thats annoying me!! Have a big night out planned on saturday so hoping i will feel better for then??? Does anyone know how long these symptoms last for?!?! Im also having stomach problems aswell without going into anymore detail!!!

Manolo.. brace yaself!!! GAS!! etc etc is common and it's not one you think about when you quit eh!? It lasts differently for each person I think.. I am having problems in that area still!! Arghhh!! Nicotine is a stimulant so stopping it slows you reeet down, if you know what I mean..! :eek:

I have to say I felt "rough as" for the first couple of weeks and it really got me down.. as if this quit thing isn't hard enough without feeling physically rubbish too eh?... I had super tiredness, ZERO concentration, staring into space all the time, chest pains, headaches, sore (gritty, as I liked to descirbe it!) throat, oh lots of hideous stuff... BUT....!!!!

PLEASE hang in there and see it through.. you have to keep telling yourself "of course I'm gonna feel rubbish, I've been poisoning my body for ________(fill in the blank) years and now I've stopped suddenly.. it's bound to rebel at me!" and rebel it does but it needs to, it HAS to, to get you recovered and back to good health.. go with all these horrid symptoms and ride 'em out 'cause I pormise you it REALLY does get easier.. and relatively quikly I think.. !

I feel much better and I'm on Day 32 today (I think).. the last week has been much easier so I'd say about 3 weeks max for the main part of this white knuckled rollercoaster ride to slow down.. NOT BAD at all when you think of the years of damage there is to repair! Stay with it no matter how poo you feel!

Well I've just bought a Wii :eek: Wouldn't have got it though if I hadn't have given up the fags. I got a lil bit of money coming in on Saturday so I spent all the money I had today on a Wii :rolleyes:

Sod it though, I feel good today and I dont care that I have no more money left til Saturday Well, not completely skint, but nearly! Who cares! I've GOT A WIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!

Yes, i seem to be living beyond my means at the moment! god bless credit!! sure the money i save on fags will eventually pay for it all!!
