yeah, me too, am cruising for the most part, but I went out Saturday night and at one stage considered asking a mate for a fag. This is where I have failed in the past being complacent. However a really good girl friend of mine told me how shit I would feel and that all the hard work would be ruined, which thankfully I listened to!! Thank God. I really need to be aware of that happening again in the future. Apart from that, I feel superb and everything is spot on in life :)

I'm here Linda - don't know how though.

For example on Saturday, I'm on the phone telling a friend how good I felt about quitting and the next minute, I'm in the queue at Asda's cigarette counter ordering 20 Marlb Lights. Didn't plan it or want it, its like I had a huge wave of withdrawel and reacted instantly. I stopped at the last second and changed my mind and bought some chewing gum instead.

What I am trying to say is that no matter how many times I think I have it under control, my mind will change in a second and I will be a different person and then I want to smoke.

Anyway - well done to all of us who have made it this far (and the people like Flippy and Sara who keep trying).

hi guys

yep am still here too - havent posted much recently - been very busy and got a bit disillusioned with this place to be honest - too much arguing. But it seems to have calmed down now. I am feeling good with myself - barely even thinking about smoking except when extremely drunk - and i am trying to avoid the pub at the mo.

All the best to everyone whatever stage they are at.

My stats (which never cease to amaze me):

I have been quit for 1 Month, 2 Weeks, 3 Days, 8 hours, 7 minutes and 52 seconds (48 days). I have saved £238.30 by not smoking 821 cigarettes. I have saved 2 Days, 20 hours and 25 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 01/01/2008 05:24

Can't believe I would have spent nearly 300.00 on fags in the few weeks since the New Year. Makes you feel a bit guilty doesn't it!!

I'm still in here too. Wow, we have all done a great job! It's been tough, but we made it this far. I was just thinking earlier today that my thoughts about smoking are starting to pass...though i still have those mood swings in which I really want just 1 smoke...well I know i;m better off without i though.

Sutty I feel your struggles too...but we made it this far!
