Went to bed at 10.30 after having my last ciggie, tasted disgusting as I am now on the stronger dose of champix.Had really weird dreams last night and kept waking up.Got up at 7am came down made coffee.Do I want a ciggie? No not really just kept feeling I should be doing something.Had a few cravings but am hanging in there.Wish me luck.Will sign back in tomorrow.Not very good with computers.How the hell do I get these smilies to work?Chrissie xxx

hi chrissie im thinking about getting champix and just wondered how you got them eg docs?

i went to the docs today but he refused to give me them until i had been to counciling for 3 months, i work all over the country so thats impossible for me

i searched and found you can buy them on the web £100:eek:

and wondered if anyone else has bought them and if they have instructions

anyway good look with quiting i got to day6 using will power but cracked

Hi Bower, l also am on Champix, which l was fortunate enough to get from the Docs. I have also seen them advertised on the web, but they were about £395 for the 12 week course :eek: I was also worried, as to whether or not, they were the "real" thing, 'cos that's a lot of money to spend for "duds" :eek:

yeah i know what you mean josie about them being duds and your right about them being £395 for the full course i meant they where £100 per month.

im getting really depressed now i dont know what to do, i just dont want to smoke anymore ive tryed patches and gum and everything else which i paid for myself i never go to docs for anything id rather suffer than go there then when i finally do theres no help. i know its not good buying them on the net but what else can i do

hi all my name is kay and im new in here i am on day 6 on champix and i havent had a fag today at all i did smoke 20 a day but just havent fanced one so hopefully fingers crossed the first day of many. It hasent been to hard considering my bf has been smoking roll ups in the other room god im so pleased with myself.I go to the higher dose of chimpax tom so we will have to see how i get on how did you all find it any different when you started taking the blue ones in the starter pack??

Hi Bower

A possible solution for you is to join your local cessation clinic they give out Champix on prescription as long as you tell them that you have tried the other methods.You only need to go to these clinics once per fortnight (2 weeks) and your only in them about 10 or 15 mins if they are like mine.You can find your local one on by just googling smoking cessation and it should give you a NHS website.

Im not on champix but about 90% at my local cessation service are.

Glad you found the site I have only been on her 3 days but all the people are lovely and are all behind us in are bid to quit the weed.Im on champix too.To start with I didnt think they were much good and was worried they werent working,but once I went on the blue ones I didnt really want to smoke at all.I have been having weird dreams on the blue ones and keep waking up but apart from that Ive been fine.Now day 9 on tabs 1st day not smoking.Please to say only had a few cravings but think its more the habit than anything I just did something else and it went.PHEW.Chrissie xxx:

they are a prescription drug in the Uk and I guess they are a prescription job for a reason, I would not recommend getting them off the net but I would recommend changing your skin flint doctor img374.imageshack.us/img374... SAID Boudee, what a mean old Doc he is :p:p

When people genuinly want to quit, there should be all the help in the world for them. It's all very well saying that you have got to have 3 months counselling before he will prescribe them for you, but you may very well lose you job in the process :eek: I would see about changing my Doctor if l were you :mad:
