well, i must admit, even though ive been here b4 this is tougher than i expected.
i was only back on the fags for a few weeks, just having two or three a day, thinking i could take it or leave it, when now i realise i was once again as dependent as i ever was!
I think it has helped me accept the fact though that once youre an addict you are always an addict, and I cant just have one puff and let that be that, in the same way an alcoholic cant have just one drink.
I dont think i even realised this properly the last time i quit, but i do now.
see you all at day 4!

I think most smokers have to learn this the hard way... Hopefully I have learned it for the last time this go round.

As most folk on here know I've smoked for 25yrs and spent the last 9 yrs trying to quit (not very well I might add!) I must've tried every method going (patches, gum, lossies, zyban, hypnotherapy et al) to no avail - longest I managed was a week. This time is different - mainly due to champix but also
because I've ACKNOWLEDGED the fact tha I am a 'nicotine addict' and so cannot even have the odd drag. 'A single cig is too many ,yet a thousand isn't enough' You are so right Charlene. We have to have determination and willpower to say a resounding NO even to a single puff!
Thanks Kenzo, its tough this quitting lark isnt it?, Im sure ur doing just great!!
Yeah ist a f'ing blast allright
I just keep trying to remind myself that everything bad would actually be worse not better with cigarettes and that most of the things that I am stressed about now I was stressed about before anyway.
