I stopped eating sugar or taking sugar in my tea for a week before quitting. That week felt like stopping smoking but made the actual quit easier.

seriously the sugar is imortant... keeping your blood sugar stable is a big factor in moderating the withdrawal symptoms... my non medical totally unproven based in nothing tangible theory is basically eat frequently and eat things that will level out the blood sugar like fruit and whole grains. Reduce caffiene. The more you keep your system in balance the better off you will feel. I find that if I have something like an apple at the time of my mid-morning or mid afternnon smoke (when that desire for a cig inevitably creeps up) it helps me pass that moment.

Not what you're looking for?
