And thanks for the welcome. I decided that as part of stopping I would write somethings down, and hope it will get me past some of the more difficult times!!
Morning of Day 4 and all is well.
At the moment just love the fact that I don't have to keep leaving my desk for a fag while at work, and when Im out and about not having to get to the train station or cinema etc five minutes early so I can have a ciggie and then getting irritable when I haven't got time!! Ha
Am I only the one that gets serious heartburn once I've kicked the Nicotine?
And is there any relief apart from rennie and galvascon - or what ever it's called.

Its called GAVISCON! if thats any help. My hubby used to suffer from indigestion (he's never smoked) but he used to take a tsp of Bicab of soda mixed with a small tumbler of cold water. Welcome to the forum.
Great decision on quitting and writing helps loads x x
Sorry about the acid I suffer time to time I am sick of the taste of gaviscon n rememgel, they make me feel sick now!! I use bicarbonate of soda and find it works well too. Also mint tea helps.
I will try the Soda and definatley the mint tea, I am also trying to lower my intake of caffine but can't do without a hot drink, so that should hit the spot.
I've been fairly busy all day moving rooms, and smoking has not been much on my mind. Of course I'm still getting pangs but then enjoying the moment because I know I don't have to light up. (Blimey I hope this frame of mind endure's!!)
