Hi Gofree and welcome,

311

You are doing really well so keep it up!

I felt really tired for weeks but especially in the first week. I did want to sleep alot because I never smoked in the bedroom and it seemed easier to sleep through the cravings.

It will pass and you will feel so much better for not smoking though so don't give in.

Good luck,

Befly xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Welcome and you have found a wonderful group. Tired is normal. The mental battle is exhausting. On day 10 here. 2nd time around. If you need to sleep do. I am going to bed about an hour early here lately and would love a nap when I get home. I don't because I don't want to miss all my friends on here.

You will find all the support and morale you could ever want around here so feel free to come for a pickmeup as often as you want.

Hey there, welcome!

Yes, it is normal to feel very tired, I think it's a sum of what the others said, that it's due to the energy you're using in order to stay quit and it's also sort of a defense mechanism, as sleeping through the cravings makes them easier

I am a night owl and never go to bed before 1 a.m. but during the first week of my quit I'd feel SO tired I'd go to bed at 11 p.m. tops  That made me feel miserable actually, as in "awww see! I'm losing my personality! I'm never ever going to be the same! boohoo! *insert major crying and sobbing here * Well, in fact the weird tiredness does come to an end within the first 10 days :) Then you slowly go back to being your old self, you find your routines again and are able to be relaxed in them like you used to be, only smoke-free this time, and this helps to feel strong in the quit and so happy about it. :)

Yeah For You!!

I am here on day 4 and I know exactly how you feel..I never want to get up for work anymore..but I do. I also find that excercise is the key right now..yoga, breathing, meditation..walking, running, anything to get the air in and out of your lungs. I am so proud of myself and for everyone on this site for choosing not to be a slave anymore...lets stick together...we can do it!!
