Hi i am back yet again i havn't smoked since 11.30 last night i really want to do this i keep reading on how you are all doing and i now feel i can quit i have been keeping my self busy during the day its just night time when i want to smoke i don't go out much i have panic attacks so i spend my time stuck in the house so i have got some puzzle books books to read and my friend got me a jig saw to do my daughter hates smoking she is 16 she got me one of those boards that you can write on in felt tip pen so she said to me write on it when i want to smoke the reasons why and how i am feeling so every one is trying to help me its up to me now marg

I think the idea of writing down your reasons is great, follow your daughter's advice..

I think one of the hardest things is making the decision to stop - and you've already done that part so the rest will be fine! As someone said the other day, it's not like you have to do anything, just not do something.
I'm sure you'll get loads of great help and advice on here like before. The things I've found really helpful are making a list of the reasons why I'm stopping and keeping it with me. If I get a craving I read the list to remind myself. Generally by the time I've got to the end of the list the craving has gone anyway.
Keeping busy really helps. Like you I find the evenings at home the trickiest time so plan in advance that you've got things to do. Puzzles and jigsaws are great as they focus your mind and keep your hands busy. Also things like knitting, sewing, or even getting a colouring book have all been helpful to me.
Well done on making this fantastic decision.

Your daughter is a wise owl for her tender years! Good on her the wipe board is a great idea!!
