Day 12

Morning Whiteboy,

Well done on the day 12 thing. I hope you're starting to find it easier going now.

My day 12 starts today. The good thing for me is I went to the local pub last night and despite being surrounded by people smoking, didn't really have any problem with it.

The bad thing is that I got horribly drunk and fell against the bathroom door when I got home and now have a cut and a shiner over my right eye, so am feeling a bit sorry for meself right now.

Don't know whether anyone else has noticed a big difference in how alcohol affects them when they quit. The effect of the alcohol really seems to be heightened in my case. Early in the evening I was feeling particularly tense and I'm wondering if that feeling of tension means there's a lot adrenaline pumping round and the combination of adrenaline and booze is a bit too potent. Either way, I guess the anser is to rein in the booze for a while at least.

Keep up the good work

Morning dicky x x

Lol my bf did that a couple of weeks ago! i missed it but he came in late p'd as a fart but looking fine, well unhurt anyway :D then in the morning i am like, 'wtf?! you got a black eye!, sulkily he was like 'yeah i know' he's not sure if he banged it on the end of the bed or the toilet or bedroom door whilst staggering off for a pee >_< rofl

He hasn't even quit though  hehehe

I was the same at first, alcohol seemed to have a bigger impact then I found alcohol a new crutch and was drinking more, then i actually found it effected me less. I can remember getting drunk as a smoker, the last fag would be the cut off point to my night :o there would be a final fag where it would turn me over and i would have to fold.

Now i can drink and drink without going over! >_< month 5 for me and i have just slashed my intake a lot!! and 3 days free of alcohol a week.
