Sorry bout the crazy post on day 5. I wasn't having a good night, and thank you all so much for your warm replies. It is so much easier to do this when I know others are in the same boat. I want to make it for me, and also for you all, so I can be a help to others over time as you all have been helping me. I know most of us are just starting out, but baby steps will get us all there in the long run. Today so far, much better day, new outlook on things. There is no going back for me now. I need to come up with a kewl line, to end all these posts with. Hmm... another day, another battle? Add one day to my freedom? so many possibilities. Its before 7 am here, so the wit hasn't got to full speed yet.
Day 6, No slips.: Sorry bout the crazy post... - No Smoking Day
Day 6, No slips.

feel so good i've reached day 8
hi I am posting as i cant believe i am on day 8 and have not found it as hard as i thought ,maybe its easier because im pregnant and just keep thinking about not only what smoking as been doing to me (last15yrs)but what it can do to my unborn child .All my friends and family have been asking how im doing and they cant believe i have come this far I am determined to stay strong and am proud to say im a non-smoker to any one out there if i can give up so can you, i have health problems which have made me unable to work for the past 4 years so i would spend the day at home smoking .Dont get me wrong the craving were hard but i got through them and only have a few tiny ones now claire x
Great News
Hey so its well done to both of you then! Tatty you certainly have one of the biggest reasons for quitting withoubt a doubt.....as its now up to you what happens to both your own life and that of your baby.
I know it will make deciding to quit much easier than most but I dont think it can take anything away from the cravings......thats all down to you and you seem to be dealing with them really well. I was quite surprised how easy (or not actually too difficult) it was to give up and although I did get many cravings to start with, I am now in day 20ish and hardly get any....and like you the ones I get dont phase me that much.
Well done again Tatty....in your case the quitting definately makes sense and you appear to be resigned to the fact that you wont smoke again....keep it up!
Tatty, just think how proud you'll feel when you can say to your child "I used to smoke but gave up because I was having you!"
Thank you
Thank you for your words of support i feel so good that i have managed to keep it up as i have failed before but i know that now i will not give in
