Marg

Hi Marg, dont worry if you didnt stop the fags on the day you said you would. The one thing you have to remember is that its your choice when and where and how to quit and that means everything has got to be right for YOU, not because its a certain day or because of any outward pressure.

Most of my failed attempts were because of other peoples reasons for me to quit, not because I had sdaid that I 100% categorically wanted to quit.

I am now 21 days without a fag and have smoked since I was 14/15....now early 40's and the main reason Im now getting to grips with the no smoking is that its something that I actually want to do. Not because of any other influence, bar one.

You will give the fags up but dont rush into it or you give yourself little chance. You have already made the first big step forward to getting off theses which is deciding that your life would be better without them. Next stewp will be to distance yourself from.....but at your pace. Good luck and hope to hear from you.

Marg

I found the only way stop was to make sure I had no Fags left when I went to bed. break any left up and flush down toilet if you have to.That way your 8 hours into your Quit when you get up. I’m into my 2nd day and really feel like I’m missing out, a sort of empty feeling but this is supposed to start easing about day 3. So come on Marg just bite the bullet and go for it

I have now been a none smoker for: 0Y 0W 1D 17H 18M 42S. I have not smoked: 51 Cigarettes. That amounts to a saving of over £ 11.00 I will now live longer by: 0Y 0W 0D 4H 8M. Since I Quit on the 06 March 2007. The number of people worldwide that has died from smoking related deaths is: 23579

Good luck Marg- its not easy but it gets easier- I was the worlds worst smoker and quitter- it is worth it though- says he! Hope I can stay strong.

Take care- everyone on here is so helpful, they have inspired me and I have been through hell last 4 weeks.
