Found this forum today and very impressed with what i have read.Been on others, but people here seem more down to earth.
Started my quit on Feb 14th 2006, had some very black moments and one relapse(cigar.)Using nrt lozengers when unbearable, average 1 a day.At start of quit, cut down from 10 to 2 cigarettes a day.
Reasons: health, break dependance and to set an example to my children, the oldest of which has started at 17.(along with all his mates)
Worried about the nrt, think it is the way to go but feel depressed when i use it.
Please see profile.
Good luck everyone,
Martin.

Hi Martin. I used the patches and found they worked very well. Not had any experience using the lozenges but after tha patches I carried round the nRT gum for a while until I felt strong enough to carry normal Wrigleys!! No depression with patches or gum just healthy new me!!
Hi Martin , dont think anyone is ignoring you . I just pop on here ,now and then if cravings are taking over. Just a little support from other poeple goes a long way. I am on day 15 and counting. Its been really tough the last two weeks, just with the psyical changes. Headaches, sleepless nights, muscle pain ( believe thats a side effect from the patches ). Each day gets a little easier but would still love to light up . The only thing that stops me, is having to go through the withdrawal again. I pray that I will never smoke again . Starting to feel fitter this week and my purse is looking healthier too .
hi martin i used the patches and there seem to have worked for me i have not smoked cigrette since 8 of jan it does get better i still think of them but i won go back to them so dont give up good luck
