Just wanted to provide a little bit of an update. Had round 2 on Wednesday. Have no reactions when I'm having the treatment, apart from the Benedryl that makes me a bit woozy (but all good). The first treatment was over 6 hours, as they have to drip the Rituximab very slowly to see if there are any reactions. The second only took 3 hours, as they inject it into your belly, to make it go a lot quicker. I have had a few days with nausea in the 6 weeks, but that is good compared to what is happening with other people. The nausea pills never worked for me, as they made me very drowsy and in turn made me more nauseous (again that may be personal), so I switched to gravol ginger (natural), which doesn't make me drowsy and seems to work a lot better. The good news: All my nodes have either completely disappeared or started to split up and disappearing that way. I am so pleased I am having this treatment, as it seems to be working miracles. Did shave my hair, as I did know I was going to lose it. No big deal for a guy, although my head is freezing now! Onwards and upwards!

Very good news,Russ and thanks for the excellent description of your treatment and side effects as that will be encouraging and helpful to others facing their first encounter with chemo. Sounds like you are coping very well with it so far.
Hey Russ! You already know your positively positive attitude will go a long way! I'm now 2 years post treatment and feel amazing. My best piece of advice is to cut yourself some slack. If you're feeling tired, rest. If you're feeling anxious reach out. Accept help! I'm a total hardass and it was difficult for me to be vulnerable. But with the right people it is amazing. My relationships that count are so much better. I pray for your health my friend.
