For anyone interested in the research into the immune system and current knowledge : The Beautiful Cure: Harnessing Your Body’s Natural Defences by Daniel M. Davis might be worth a read.
Despite a slightly misleading title,this book is a scientific account of the development and current state of immunotherapy and how recent discoveries came about. I'm going to try my library for it as the paperback is not out until next February :
