Lymphoma Survivor

I am realizing that I am a cancer survivor. Its a surreal feeling but also a life changing moment. I've been in remission for 6 months now. I am overall grateful to be a lymphoma survivor and I can help others that are going thru any form of cancer. Don't get me wrong cancer takes a toll on you physically but also mentally. I'm scared but I'm also a believer God. I'm so grateful and thankful to have reached this point in my life.

Congrats, long may it continue.

Alcoholics often refer your your above writing as a “moment of clarity”.

Whatever belief system you have is your choice. If you can contribute to humanity and leave it in a better state for you being in it, then that’s a good result.

For me it is was and still is a "life changing moment". Being diagnosed and treated for Lymphoma taught me the importance of knowing, loving, & respecting my body and also loving those who are dear to me. I am eating better, doing things I love and surrounding myself with better people. It also helped me to realize that I have a purpose in life and not take simple yet precious things for granted. So thank you!😀

Had my last chemo on November 25 2016. I thank God first and my doctor and NP and the oncology nurses for my treatment. I am now more closer to the creator than before I know the feelings

Congratulations.

It's been surreal for me too. When ever I mention that I'm a bit tired or thst I'm looking forward to being in better health, the response I get from loved ones is always "you're doing well, look what you've been through". I've tried not to focus on what I've been through, I'd rather forget it actually, but these comments do serve as a reality check. One step at a time. I'm grateful for what I do have.... the love of family and friends, stronger faith and more time in 2018 to become healthier and stronger. :)

You and me both! I try to forget what I've been through. But it has made me stronger as a person and it has strengthen my faith. But right now my focus is staying positive and continuing to be healthy. May things continue to go well with you!
