Some are more practical than expected but..

#1: Keep a daily journal. This includes not only weight and measured levels, but food&fluid intake as well as moods and feelings. Bring to every doctor appointment.

#2: Use medical resources like the Pharmacy techs. One of our drugs was going to cost $680/mo OOP! I couldn't afford that, our Pharm Tech called the manufacturer and they gave me 6 MONTHS NO CHARGE! May not be the option for all but I didnt know the was even an option. Also, for our condition urine needed to be checked daily, cutting our dip sticks in half saved money as well.

#3: Use a calendar. It's easier to plan your life around them. They are helpful for the obvious appointments but also keep those all important FAMILY and PARTNER times in view so they are just as important as the appointments!
