long wait for typeO

My husband, who is also type O, had to wait 6 years for his transplant. He got the call in October of 2020 in the middle of the COVID pandemic. He’s doing great now in 2024. We did hemodialysis at home with NextStage. Our clinic taught us how to run the small portable machine & all the supplies & equipment were delivered to our house. By the way, you can easily travel with the machine. The treatments were 5 days a week, but for only 2 hours. He felt well enough after the shorter treatments to participate in daily activities. Clinic treatments, 4 hours long & 3 day a week were exhausting. Good luck & Hope you get the call soon.
