My organ donor hero is my husband who gave to put me on the top of the transplant list and my actual donor who gave out of the goodness of his heart. I call he and my new kidney Bucky. He was from the Buckeye state of Ohio. God bless and keep them both.

My organ donor was my husband's brother! He lives across the country from us but signed up almost as soon as I was listed. He is still working but came to our state for all the testing and follow up in addition to taking almost a month off for the surgery and recovery in our state. His donation came just before I needed to go on dialysis. I didn't think we were that close before all this but I am overwhelmed by his selfless generosity.
