Are there any support groups for the caregiver of a post transplant child? We are in the Las Vegas area. I am finding it very stressful and there is no one who fully understands all of the PTSD type feelings I am having. Thanks.

HI Narp, I do not have the answer to your question but suggest you ask your transplant center or the National Kidney foundation or organizations you can find online similar to this one. I looked for such a support group 4 yrs ago where I live in NY /VT region before my spouse had his transplant and found nothing helpful . THen I found this website in May2019 and use it. I would suggest using this platform and other things you can find for support you seek, not just one. I wish you the best. I'm the caregiver of my spouse who received his transplant 4 yrs ago and it has been the most difficult thing in our 45 yrs of marriage to deal with so I understand why you are writing here for help,
This group does a zoom meeting twice a week. It’s not for caregivers per se, but they do have caregivers who participate. Maybe this could help. kidneysolutions.org/about-us/
The Renal Support Network website lists their support services. I've enjoyed and benefitted greatly participating in their monthly online support groups, online exercise classes, and other small groups. Participants include a spectrum of "kidney kin" - caregivers, patients, family, friends, etc. No cost. Sending you bear hugs! ❤
