Hi everyone! I just had a transplant 6/3/2021. I wondering is it safe to wear a girdle? Do I have wait 6 months to a year to wear a girdle? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Thanks so much for understanding, as q woman we like to look our best. I'm not worried about what someone else thinks, only what I feel and think about my appearance.
I understand 100%! I actually am having my excess skin removed soon. I am not doing it because of vanity but I had over 12 hernias repaired and now my stomach pulls on my incision and mesh causing a lot of pain. To fix that they are going to remove my hanging stomach.
My bad, I did not understand so I asked a question from a man's point of view. Again, I apologize.
But I remember that immediately after my transplant, the surgeon/Urologist put me on disposable boxer shorts that are 1 size smaller. I asked why, because they were uncomfortable. He said that this will help in firming the wounds and hasten the healing. Thus, my line of question.
Nothing to apologize for I was not meaning to sound rude. It is so weird how each of use had different things we had to do after our transplant. Since my incision was from my sternum to my pubic hair line I should of been given a binder but nope they didn't and I developed hernias.
I'm use to wear a girdle to control my stomach , after having 3 c-sections I have a lot of dead tissue. Now that I had a transplant, my stomach just looks to huge. I like to feel and look more uniformed.
I wear a pair of control panties and I have shortly after my transplant. This is how I would approach that try and see how you feel if it is uncomfortable than don't wear it.
If it is comfortable and doesnt cause any swelling or circulation problems, why not....I happen to feel that tummy support is great for your lower back...You should ask your Nurse or Doctor first though
