Any better suggestions?

I just accidentally took my tomorrow's anti-rejection medicines (adoport , prednisolone) 7 hours early (instead of my vitamins)

I plan to take next scheduled dose 14 hours later (instead of 12) , and each thereafter one hour later until back on schedule . . .

I don't want to be ordered into hospital at a time like this . . .

Any better suggestions/comments ?

Hi

When I travel to another time zone which is many hours behind or ahead of current time I do exactly as you plan, I delay taking my immunosuppressant drugs for up to 2 hours per dose until I am at my normal time in the new zone. This approach was approved by my consultant.

Hope this helps

Best wishes.

Thank-you so very much . . . I truly value your reply .

All appears to be well .

My biggest concern was being double immunosuppressed ~ in light of this viral curse !

Yahoo999’s advice is what I do when I’m traveling or screw up an appointed time by accident while at home. Also, you could check with your nephrologist to verify.

I have done that twice. I was told by my transplant center that I can just resume my next dose as usual because of the timing. Call your transplant center and follow their advice if possible.

As far as travel is concerned, I take my meds exactly as I take them at home and adjust my alarm accordingly. For example if I am scheduled to take my meds at 8 p.m. pacific standard time at home (CA) and I’m traveling to NY (Eastern standard time) I take my meds at 11:00 p.m. NY time. It has worked so far.

I was always told that skipping a dose is the problem.

I would take my next dose at the time I usually do.

When I travel I adjust to the current time zone I am in and take my pills on my schedule

That happened to me once and I had to forcefully throw it up being paranoid and all. However, my transplant team said that I didnt have to vomit it out as doing it one time wont hurt me. :)
