Good morning fellow sufferers. Reading your news feeds I see many of you have a much higher gfr than me. Not sure if this is encouraging, nor how long it will last, but my gfr was 15 last November. I have not had dialysis, and am on a strict vegan diet. No alcohol. Some exercise but limited due to skeletal health problems. I no longer have blood tests and I am on Conservative Care. I'm still here... I'm making each day as meaningful as possible and given I seem to have defied predictions, I am doing my best not to think about the outcomes. I must emphasis I am not recommending my approach to this awful desease, we are all individuals with highly complex health and what works for one, may not work for another. Just wanted to possibly bring some hope. Obviously my situation could, and some day will, change at a minutes notice, but for now it's a good day! Happy day to you all.

my eGFR is 17 and has been for 28 years…at 15ish or 17ish or 19ish if no underlying condition that destroys the kidneys like T2D then with a little diet modification and staying away from alcohol etc a normal life can be had even with such low readings.
